Lady Warriors Stay Undefeated in Conference Play Against Bethany

STERLING, Kan. (SCWarriors.com) – The Lady Warriors improve to 6-1 after a 66-59 win over the Bethany College Swedes on Wednesday night. Korynn Clason strong play in the first half was followed by Alissa Heskamp‘s strong second half performance which led to the wire to wire win. Both players finished with 19 points. The Warriors maintained a double digit lead most of the night until the final moments of the game when the Swedes closed the gap.

Aside from Clason and Heskamp’s 19 points, McKenna Vogl ended with 10 points and 6 rebounds. Alex BearupKali Briar, and Bailey Young each added 6 rebounds apiece. Sterling was heavy on defense early on and leading the way were Bearup and Heskamp with 4 steals each, with Evie Gill adding 3 more.

Sterling improves to 6-1 and stay undefeated in KCAC play early on at 2-0. They return to action on Saturday afternoon when they head to Avila University to take on the Eagles who are seeking their first win of the season.
