The Kansas Volleyball Association is pleased to announce the 2024 All-State Teams, Players of the Year, and Coaches of the Year selections for all classifications.
In the Ad Astra Radio area, Arika Feldman of Little River was named the 1A-DI Player of the Year and her coach Kim Rolfs took home Coach of the Year honors, leading the Redskins to the state championship. In 3A, Halstead’s Diana Schutte was named the Coach of the Year after leading the Dragons to the state title in 2024.
In other individual All-State selections, Feldman was joined on the 1A-DI first team with her teammate Havana Olander and Goessel’s Brooklyn Wuest. Evie Look, Saelyn Raleigh and Adelynne Strecker of Little River were all second team picks and Mia Meyer from St. John was named honorable mention.
Also in 3A from Halstead, Bailey Bernal and Dalaina Schutte were first team selections, while Katharine Engel was on the second team and Piper Schroeder was on the honorable mention squad. Sofia Simic of Hoisington was also a first team pick. Other second team selections from the area were Kendal Brueggen of Hesston, Reese Stuhlsatz of Garden Plain and Katja Blanchat of Smoky Valley. Cheney’s Reese Hedstrom and Garden Plain’s Erin Smith were honorable mention picks.
In 4A All-State picks, Hayden Grimes of Andale was a first team pick, while Emerson Waldren of Buhler and Brooke Doile of McPherson were chosen on the second team. McPherson’s Ava Romero was an honorable mention pick.
In 2A, Suttyn Harris of Inman, Kingzley Ratzlaff of Hillsboro and Kennedy Behnke of Ellinwood were all selected to the first team. Inman’s Taylor Froese was joined by Amyah Werth of Hillsboro, Kyndal Moore of Ellinwood and Kalyn Simpson of Sedgwick on the second team. Kenna Woods of Inman, Lauryn Vogt of Hillsboro and Alyvia Batchman of Ellinwood were all honorable mention selections.
