HUTCHINSON, Kan. – After suffering their first loss of the season on Saturday, the Hutchinson Community College women’s soccer team dropped five spots in this week’s NJCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Rankings.
The Blue Dragons are now No. 13 after falling 1-0 to Cowley on Saturday in Hutchinson’s only action of the week.
Hutchinson is now 7-1-3 as the Blue Dragons start the second half of the conference season on Wednesday with a 6 p.m. home matchup against Garden City. The Blue Dragons travel to Seward County on Saturday.
The Blue Dragons have now been ranked in 11 consecutive ranking periods.
Barton is now the highest-ranked Jayhawk Conference team at No. 7. Hutchinson gave Barton its only loss of the season two weeks ago.
Kansas City moves into the Top 10 this week at No. 10, jumping seven spots. Cowley is No. 12, Hutchinson No. 13 and Butler is No. 17.
Iowa Western maintains its stranglehold on No. 1. The top five was unchanged this week with Tyler at No. 2, Seminole State at No. 3, Daytona State at No. 4 and Eastern Florida State at No. 5.
