McPHERSON, Kan. (CCCTigers.com) – In a game where the score was much closer than the score indicated, the Tigers fell in their SAC Opener 3-0 to Oklahoma Panhandle State, falling to 4-4 on the season and 0-1 in Conference play, ending the Tigers 2 game win streak. Panhandle’s Emma Daskalove was the difference maker scoring 2 goals for the Aggies, one in the 1st half and one in the 2nd half. The Tigers best chance in the game came in the 71st minute with 2 close shots at goal both Amaleigh Mattison and Avery Lemons. Amaya Chaffee had a great attempt at the 82nd minute, but the Aggies were able to get back on offense and score a heartbreaker in the 85th minute with Daskalov’s 2nd goal, finalizing the scoring in the SAC contest. Celena Vanhaezebrouck saved 3 shots at goal.
The Tigers (4-4, 0-1) look to get back in the win column at home vs. Wayland Baptist (1-6, 0-1) at 4:30pm on Tuesday. The game will be streamed live on the SAC Sports Network.
