McPHERSON, Kan. – The McPherson High Freshman Volleyball team hosted a quad at McPherson High School on Thursday, where they defeated Augusta, El Dorado, and Winfield all in straight sets.
“The girls came ready to play and hungry after last week’s matches.” said Coach Jamie Siess, as her team was able to move to 19-9 on the season. Siess added, “We started with high energy and intensity, and kept that level throughout the night. Leah Cahoone played the net very well while having good block touches. Karsen Burris was also very aggressive at the net and had a solo block.”
The Pups will return to action next Thursday, when they travel to Clearwater, for a quad that includes Rose Hill and Wellington. Matches are scheduled for 5 p.m.
