McPHERSON, Kan. – The McPherson High School Boys Basketball team is still undefeated at 22-0 following their Sub-State Championship victory in their final game at the Roundhouse, winning 64-29 over Concordia.
The game saw an early tie at 3-3, which happened to be the only tie in the game. Since that mark, the Bullpups struck fast, shooting 70% in the first half, outscoring Concordia in all four quarters, leading by as much as 37 points, and winning the contest by 35.
Four out of five Bullpup starters finished in double-digit points. Gabe Pyle led with 16 points, Cory Muehler had 15, Kyden Thompson added 12, and Owen Pyle finished with 11.
The Bullpups are headed back to the State Tournament at the Tony’s Pizza Events Center in Salina. Their quarterfinals game will by Thursday, March 7, with their opponent and tip-off time to be determined.
