Bullpup Bowlers Head to State after Boys Win & Girls Take Runner-up in Regionals

McPHERSON, Kan. – The McPherson High School bowling teams are headed to the State Championship after a successful 4-1A Regionals run that ended with the boys team finishing first and the girls second.


BOYS:

The Bullpup boys bowled a combined score of 3076, outlasting 2nd place Buhler who finished with 2915.

Individually, Alex Wheat bowled the highest of all participants with 693. Rayce Stiggins finished 6th overall with 578, Logan Jackson got 9th with 547, Carsen Bruce finished 16th with 479, Jace Godwin got 20th with 428 and Karter Hundley finished 24th with 370.


GIRLS:

The girls finish in 2nd in the Buhler regional with a score of 2121 behind Buhler, who took first in Regionals 2737. The runner-up position does qualify the McPherson girls onto State.

Individually, Brooke Henry finished 4th overall with a score of 520, Emma Shandy took 7th overall with 459, Isabella Shandy finished 9th with 406, Ryla Skelton, Travice Hubbard and Aubrey Wilson took 13th, 14th and 15th with scores of 253, 216, and 124, respectively.


Both McPherson & Buhler boys & girls represent the Buhler Regionals and head to state.

The 4-1A State Championship will be held Wednesday, Feb. 28 at Bowlero Wichita in Wichita, KS. You can find more information HERE.
