A 10-run second inning, the majority of the production coming with two outs, set the tone for the Bullpup offense on the day. McPherson finished with 17 base hits (4 of which were extra-base hits), but they drew 10 walks and were hit by two pitches. Game one also saw four stolen bases by the Bullpups, making smart and timely baserunning a major facet in McPherson’s repertoire.

McPherson had three different pitchers with starter Carter Allen getting his second win. The pitchers allowed four hits, allowed one walk, and struck out 13 batters, meaning that only two Winfield outs were not via K’s.
