WICHITA, Kan. (MacBulldogs.com) – Collin Storr and KJ Marshall have been named KCAC Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, after helping power the Bulldogs to their first two KCAC wins of the season, the league announced Monday (Dec. 16).

“Both Collin and KJ were huge factors in both our wins this past week,” head coach T.J. Eskildsen said. “They are both very deserving of this award. They have both worked very hard all year and I’m excited to see them hopefully build off of their performance.”

Storr, a native of Nassau, Bahamas, set a new career-high with 34 points in the Bulldogs win over Bethany College, thanks to a very efficient 13-for-20 shooting night. But he wasn’t done yet, as he followed that with a 21-point performance in just 22 minutes in the win over Friends. Storr also averaged 5.5 offensive rebounds in the two games.

Marshall was outstanding on the defensive end for the Bulldogs, who held their opponents to 70.5 points per game this week, both well off their season averages. The Houston, Texas native blocked five shots, and came away with a pair of steals, while pulling down five defensive rebounds per game. Marshall was no slouch on the offensive end as well, picking up his second double-double in the last three games in the win over Friends.

Storr, Marshall, and the Bulldogs are back in action the last two days of December, traveling to Joliet, Ill., to take on Saint Xavier and St. Francis.
