SHREVEPORT, La. (macbulldogs.com)— The Bulldogs’ return trip to Shreveport, La., got off to a rocky start Monday (May 15), falling to Morningside University 10-4 at Pilot Field in the Shreveport Bracket.
Hunter Robinson didn’t waste any time putting the Bulldogs on top, sending the second pitch of the game over the fence for his fourth homer of the season. The Bulldogs tacked on one more when Andres Artola singled home Caleb Feuerstake.
Morningside responded in the top of the third, grabbing a 4-2 advantage, but the Bulldogs knotted the score in the next half-inning.
From there, it was all Mustangs, as Morningside put up the next six runs to grab the win.
The Bulldogs scored four runs on six hits, while Morningside plated ten runs on 14 hits.
McPherson falls into the loser’s bracket to take on Dillard tomorrow (May 16) at 11 a.m.
