McPHERSON, Kan. (MacBulldogs.com) — The MC Cheer squad will be heading to the Sunshine State in the spring as the team has earned a bid to the 2025 National Cheerleader Association national championship competition.
This past weekend saw the team participating in an NCA Elite home camp where a pair of certified NCA instructors evaluated the 19 members of the cheer team’s stunting and tumbling skills in addition to other leadership qualities that define a great cheerleader. As the weekend of work came to an end, the team was informed that they had received the bronze bid, the highest a team can receive in this type of camp, and were officially heading to nationals.
“I’m so impressed by the effort I saw from the team this weekend.” Head coach Krista Williams said. “They worked extremely hard and the positive attitudes and leadership they demonstrated proves that they are certainly deserving of this honor.”
The NCA College National Championship competition is set to take place April 9 through April 13, 2025, in Daytona Beach, Fla.
