LEAVENWORTH, Kan. (MacBulldogs.com) – The McPherson College women’s cross country team competed at the Spire Sunset Showdown Friday evening at the season-opening meet.
Coach Tracy Jex‘s team was led by junior Amari Robb’s time of 23:48.58 for 63rd place at the 5k event. Sophomore Johanna Walker notched a mark of 26:47.73 for 74th place.
Junior Kamryn Nolan crossed the line in 29:18.24, which was good enough for 75th.
St. Mary won the meet, taking five of the first six spots. Kansas Wesleyan earned a second-place effort while William Woods was third. McPherson College did not record a team score.
The Bulldogs return to action Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Old Glory Gallup in Grand Prairie, Texas. The race is slated to begin at 8:15 a.m.
