Buhler Sweeps El Dorado; Girls Have Now Won 5 of 6

BUHLER, Kan. – After a 2-6 start to the season, the Buhler girls claimed their third victory in a row and the fifth in their last six games Friday Night against El Dorado. The Crusaders led from start to finish to win in dominate fashion, 58-25.

Eight first quarter points from Emmie Stallman helped Buhler to a 17-point lead after one quarter. Stallman finished with a season best 12-points. She also collected seven rebounds.

The margin increased to 34 at halftime and to 45 in the second half.

All 11 Crusaders who saw time scored at least one field goal. Natalya Krafels led all scorers with 15 points.

Buhler boys 65, El Dorado 56 – The Buhler boys finished with their highest point total of the season in snatching their second win this week.

Behind nine points from Logan Garner, El Dorado erased an eight point halftime deficit in the third quarter. Garner led all scorers with 27 points.

The game was tied on six occasions in the second half, the final time at 52-all with four minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Buhler would finish those final four minutes on a 13-4 run, including a pair of gutsy three-point makes by Jalen Crable. Crable led Buhler with a career-best 20 points.

Jacob Miller finished with 18 points, also a career high, and Jeffrey Neill added 15 points and four assists.

Buhler is back on the court quickly, traveling to Winfield to face the Vikings on Monday night.
