Volleyball
Buhler High School Volleyball went undefeated last week with two victories at home. In their first game of the week versus Augusta, the Crusaders won two sets to one: 25-16, 20-25, 25-19. In their second game, they swept El Dorado: 25-13, 25-13.
After their good week, they have improved to 4-5 overall and Head Coach Deedra Emel is pleased with her team’s progress, “I’m very pleased with where we’re at this far in the season. We’re really building on a lot of things that we started this summer.” They have a tough slate of games coming up as they face Circle, McPherson, and Andale all twice.

In Varsity 2’s meet at Trinity Catholic, they finished 1st overall. Every single one of their players (1S, 2S, 1D, 2D) won their brackets.
After the sweep and the third-place finish by the other varsity team, Head Coach Matt Babcock was happy, “We had a pretty good day, and everyone performed well today at both of the varsity meets.” After a heat-limited week, Babcock was not sure how his teams would fair, “We’ve only had one “normal” day of practice this season due to the heat, but next week’s forecast looks much better.”
