BUHLER, Kan. – Three Buhler girls earned bids to state wrestling at this past weekend’s 4A Regional in McPherson.
At 135, Lillie Ledford made it to the semifinals before falling by decision to Meagan Ryan of Wamego, 8-3. Ledford then lost a 7-6 decision in the third-place match to Larned’s Cara Herbert.
Maliyah Jackson worked herself through the backside of the bracket at 140 to reach the seventh-place match, where she lost by fall to Avery Kroeger of El Dorado.
Like Ledford, Macey Marks earned a fourth-place finish at 145. In the semifinals, Parks lost a tough battle by fall to Pratt’s Miranda Webb. She then dropped the third-place match by major decision, 10-2, to Cora Moon of Winfield.

The Buhler boys will take their turn on the mat this Saturday at the 4A Regional in Abilene. State Wrestling will be held February 28 – March 1 at Tony’s Pizza Events Center in Salina.
BOWLING
The AVCTL League Bowling Tournament scheduled for Wednesday has been rescheduled for Friday due to inclement weather. Division III and IV teams will compete at Bowlero in Wichita starting at 10 a.m.
Buhler will host one of four 4-1A Regionals at The Alley on February 26th. Other teams competing in the regional include Hesston, Holcomb, Smoky Valley, McPherson, Sacred Heart, and Solomon. The Buhler girls are the defending 4-1A State Champions.
SWIMMING
Buher swimming concluded the regular season at the AVCTL League Meet this past Saturday at The Y in Hutchinson. The boys placed third behind Winfield and Wichita Collegiate.
