WINFIELD, Kan. (TaborBluejays.com) – Wednesday evening marked the second half of a two-game road trip for the Bluejay men as they made the trip down to Winfield to take on the Southwestern College Moundbuilders. The Bluejays fell to Saint Mary in Leavenworth on Saturday, while the Moundbuilders were coming off a win over Sterling.
The first half proved difficult for Tabor as Southwestern shot 58% from beyond the arc and it seemed like there was a lid on the basket for the Bluejays. Tabor got going in the second half, but it was no use as SC rolled to a win, 110-53.
Marvin Ruffin led the team in scoring with 12 points, while Langston Taylor finished with five boards and James Shoenfelt finished with two steals.
The Bluejays return home on Saturday as they host Oklahoma Wesleyan University at 4pm inside Tabor College Gymnasium.
