WICHITA, Kan. (TaborBluejays.com) – A trip to Wichita awaited Bluejay Volleyball as they wrapped up their season on Saturday evening at Friends University.

Tabor surged into the Garvey Center and stunned the Falcons in four sets, taking Friends out of the running for the No. 8 seed in the KCAC Tournament.

A back and forth first set saw the Bluejays come out on top thanks to three straight Tabor points, with a Naera Tschus service ace sealing the deal and giving TC the 25-23 set win.

Set Two saw a similar style of play from both squads, with the lead changing multiple times, this time with Friends winning the set, 25-21.

The Bluejays roared back, taking the final two sets to seal the match by scores of 25-21 and 25-18 respectively.

Liana McGonigle and Juliana Alaniz exploded for 20 kills each, while Katie Hofer also posted a breakout night with 12 kills of her own. Cocone Matsuzawa provided a whopping 58 assists and Macy Rowan led the Bluejays in digs with 20 on the night.

Bluejay Volleyball concludes their season with a record of 5-23 overall and a 3-10 record in KCAC play in the inaugural season under first-year Head Coach Adam Brewster. With a young team this year, look for the Lady Bluejays to post a strong season in 2025.
