The Big 12 Conference announced the conference matchups for the upcoming 2024-25 men’s & women’s basketball seasons Thursday, June 27 in a new 16-team format.

With the departure of Oklahoma and Texas to the SEC and the addition of Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Utah, the Big 12 basketball season will look different with 16 teams, the most representing the conference. In the upcoming season, there will be 20 conference games for each team, facing all 15 other teams.

In men’s basketball, each team will face only five teams twice this season in a home-and-away format. The teams will also host five others and travel to the other five. In women’s basketball, each team will have a home-and-away series three times, host six others and have six other road trips.

According to the Big 12, the matchups were selected based on a combination of geography, historical results and a coaches poll to balance the schedule between travel and competitiveness.
