NEWTON, Kan. (BethanySwedes.com) – The Bethany College Men’s Golf Team opened their fall season just 40 miles south in Newton, Kan. to compete in the Mid-South Classic.
As a team, the Swedes would finish 10th out of 12 teams shooting a 907 (+43). Bethany would save their best round for last as they would shoot a 295 (+7) in round three.
Mads Hasenschwandtner led the way for the Swedes shooting a 218 (+2) throughout the entire tournament placing 15th. Will Briggs was not too far behind shooting a 224 (+8) through three rounds placing 38th. Filip Hjerten (57th), Hans Woelfel (60th), and Luke Tate (61st) rounds out the team for Bethany.

The Swedes will take a trip up north to Salina, Kan. where they will compete in the Carmichael Cup hosted by the Salina Municipal Golf Course. Tee-offs are set to begin at 9:00 am.
