Chanute, KS (GoNeosho.com) – The Panthers split the last two home games of the year against Fort Scott. The final of game 1 was 2-0 and the final in game 2 was 9-5.
In game 1, the Panthers weren’t able to get anything going on offense after only allowing two runs on defense. In game 2, after falling behind 5-1, the offense came to life scoring 8 unanswered runs. The bullpen came through big for the Panthers, as 5 pitchers came into the game in relief and didn’t allow a run, earning Henry Barney his first collegiate win. The offense was led by Gilbert Rodriguez who went 3 for 5 with a 3-run RBI triple.
