GREAT BEND, Kan. (BartonSports.com) – James Parlow, Jr. of the 17th ranked Barton Community College men’s basketball team has been named the KJCCC’s Week 8 Player of the Week.
Making just his third start of the season, Parlow returned from the holiday break putting up career high numbers in the Cougars’ Saturday home win over Mineral Area College.
The sophomore transfer put up 15 of his game high 22 points in second half action in going 8-of-10 from the field with a pure pair of shots from beyond the arc and pulled down 7 rebounds in his 35 minutes of action.
Parlow becomes the second Cougar to receive the weekly award during the season in following Brent Moss‘ week three recognition.
The Cougars return to conference action Wednesday hosting Fort Hays Tech Northwest, the women’s contest tipping off at 5:30 p.m. with Parlow and the men’s squad to follow at approximately 7:30 p.m.
