LITTLE RIVER, Kan. — Ad Astra Radio is proud to announce Little River senior Logan Renken as this week’s Athlete of the Week! The Athlete of the Week is presented by Hutchinson Community College.
The week: Renken started the spring strong, as in four games, he went 6 for 10 with four RBIs. Renken also had a .765 OBP, scored seven runs, walked four times, was hit by three pitches and swiped seven bases. He also pitched twice, earning two wins in eight innings, allowing five hits while striking out 14.
The season: Renken is expected to be one of the top players in Class 2-1A. Little River swept its four games to open the season, beating Ell-Saline twice and Inman twice. In those four wins, Little River outscored its opponents 39-8.
