A Wichita man has been arrested in connection with a fentanyl related death in Hutchinson.
Officers from the Hutchinson Police Department’s Special Operations Division and Reno County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit arrested 32-year-old Cedrick Gardner II Wednesday in the 600 block of North Airport Road. He was booked into the Reno County Correctional Facility on a 250-thousand-dollar bond.
Hutchinson Police Captain Dayton Gates said in a release Thursday, charges requested include distribution of a controlled substance causing death and arranging the sale of a controlled substance using a communications device tied to a May 2nd death.
Requested charges from Wednesday’s arrest include possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute and for personal use, possession of meth, Adderall, oxycodone, dilaudid, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and criminal use of a weapon.
Gardner made an initial appearance in Reno County District Court on Thursday with reading of formal charges expected next week.
