RENO COUNTY, Kan. — U.S. 50 bridge repair work will start soon in eastern Reno County.

The Kansas Department of Transportation project is on the U.S. 50 bridge over a railroad three-quarters of a mile west of the Reno/Harvey County line.

The work is expected to begin around Oct. 7 and be completed around the end of May, depending on the weather.

During the work, traffic will be restricted to one lane and controlled by flaggers or traffic signals. Motorists should be prepared to slow down and stop and expect delays of up to 15 minutes.

PBX Corp., of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, is the primary contractor for the $898,150 project.
