At least two people died in Kansas traffic accidents over the weekend.
Early Sunday morning a man died after the car he was a passenger in crashed into a tree and fence in West Wichita. The driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Names of those involved haven’t been released but Wichita Police said alcohol and drugs may have been a factor.
A Concordia woman was killed in a one-vehicle crash discovered Sunday morning northwest of Agenda in Republic County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said Caley Wilson was northbound on a county road when she went into the ditch and hit a field entrance, after which it went airborne, striking a power pole, and landing in a field where it rolled several times.
The time the accident took place is currently unknown. Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene.
