HUTCHINSON, Kan. — At 10:00 PM the Hutchinson Fire Department responded to the 1200 BLK of East 4 th for a structure fire. First arriving crews found a well involved fire in a small single story residential. Fire was venting from multiple windows of the home. Crews started an aggressive attack as they entered the structure. Initial reports stated that there was a person possibly trapped inside. Crews were able to confirm that no one was inside and extinguished the fire.
three occupants were able to self-extricate from the fire prior to fire department arrival. No injuries have been reported. The home is a total loss. The home to the East was damaged due to heat. The fire remains under investigation at this time.
