McPHERSON, Kan. — McPherson Public Schools is proud to announce that Mr. Thomas (TJ) Jackson will serve as the Principal at Lincoln Elementary School for the 2024/25 school year.
Mr. Jackson currently serves as the principal at Canton-Galva Elementary School and is eager to return to McPherson Public Schools in this new capacity.
When asked about his connections to McPherson, Mr. Jackson said “I live in McPherson, Kansas with my wife, Brandi and children – Briggs (4), Sutton (2), and Leighton (due April 2024). I am looking forward to bringing my leadership experience to McPherson and joining the Lincoln Elementary School family.” Mr. Jackson served as a middle school teacher in McPherson Public Schools from 2009 to 2021. His familiarity with the community and district will benefit him greatly.
Dr. Shiloh Vincent, Superintendent, said of the hiring: “Mr. Jackson has a track record for establishing strong teams. His experience, both in McPherson Public Schools and as a building leader in Canton-Galva make him uniquely suited for this role. We are excited to see the positive impact he has on students, staff, and the community as he transitions to the helm at Lincoln Elementary School.
“I believe that nothing happens without teamwork and a sense of togetherness. Building teams is my priority. A strong team should have a common goal and team members should know that we will do whatever it takes to get the job done. A team needs to see a leader who will put in the time and effort to show commitment to the process. I will lead by example and ensure my team knows they are not alone. I am eager to continue making Lincoln Elementary a positive place for students, staff, and families.” Jackson said.
Mr. Jackson’s duties as Principal at Lincoln Elementary School will officially begin July 1, 2024.
