Be sure to make your way to the 4H exhibits throughout the day today to see the many awards given over the weekend. Locations for exhibits and areas include: The Ad Astra Building, 4H Centennial Hall, Pride of Kansas Building, the Oz Gallery, FFA building, Domestic Arts Building, and also the livestock and individual animal buildings.
There will be a lot of entertainment today. Marching bands begin at 8 a.m. at the People’s Bank and Trust Arena.
Ventriloquist and magician duo Glenda and Mike perform at the Lowen Corporation Stage at Lake Talbott at 11 a.m. and in case you miss them, they are there throughout the week.
Another Ventriloquist, Kevin Horner will be performing later at the Family Variety Theatre at 1 p.m. as well.
INSTEP, a variety band, will be performing at the free Peoples Bank and Trust Arena at noon and then Keyboardist, vocalist and recording artist of over 35 years Dennis Laffoon (Piano Man) from Kansas City will also be performing at 1 p.m. today at the free Peoples Bank and Trust Arena. Laffoon has played with many well-known musicians such as Heart, Journey, Cheap Trick, REO, Night Ranger, and Kansas. He was inducted in the Kansas Music Hall of Fame March 9, 2009.
Makayla Brownlee will also be performing at the Peoples Bank Arena, from 2 – 3:30 p.m. Brownlee is an emerging singer/songwriter from Southern Kansas. At 4:30 p.m., The George Sanders Blues Band will be performing at the arena. The band comes from the Mississippi Delta and for over 40 years, they have been playing blues, pop, and soul music.
The big concert tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Nex-Tech GRANDSTAND is social media star Cooper Alan with Frank Ray.
