GREAT BEND, Kan. – The City of Great Bend is putting together a storm cleanup plan for trees & limbs. Today City Staff is focusing on clearing Streets ONLY, however the next step will be to drive every neighborhood and pick up down trees and limbs with these following rules.
- If you are able to take your own tree limbs to the City Compost Site, we would greatly appreciate the help and effort.
- If you are unable to take your own limbs, please gather them to the edge of your yard by the curb.
- The city will drive every neighborhood to pick up tree parts that are gathered in citizens yards next to the curb. HOWEVER, they will ONLY drive by one time, so please make it a priority to get yours gathered as soon as possible. We will release some sort of map and plan on dates as soon as we can.
- Please cut trees and limbs to 6 feet or shorter to help city efforts and cleanup.
- Please help elderly and unable citizens as we strive together to clean up our community. If you are unable to clean up your yard, please contact City Hall at 620-793-4111 or email [email protected] and ask to be added to the unable to clean list and we will connect a group of workers/volunteers to your area.
