
LINDSBORG, Kan. — Smoky Valley USD 400 has named a new Superintendent of Schools.
Quentin Breese, currently Superintendent of Schools for Concordia USD 333, was named at a Sunday evening special meeting by the USD 400 Board of Education to succeed Heath Hogan, who is leaving to become Superintendent of Salina USD 305.
In a statement, Breese said he and his family, wife Krystal, daughter Tessa and son Payton, feel deeply blessed to return to a community that holds so much history and culture.
Breese is a 2000 graduate of Bethany College where he received his bachelor’s degree in music education, later earning a master’s in Educational Leadership from Wichita State University. He’s currently working towards his doctorate from Kansas State University.
He did his practicum at Smoky Valley High School before becoming director of bands for Southeast of Saline USD 306. He also served as principal at Concordia High School and as their assistant and interim superintendent before becoming USD 333 superintendent in 2016.
Breese will become USD 400 Superintendent July 1st.
