Smallville Festival kicks off on the Third Thursday in June with the official renaming of Hutchinson to Smallville, marking the beginning of an awesome celebration that will run through Saturday night!

Thursday, June 20 | 6-9 p.m. | Downtown Hutch
The Smallville Festival kicks off during Third Thursday June 20 with an action-packed evening of fun! Highlights include the Smallville Kids Costume Contest, Superhero-themed Inflatables, food trucks, live music, artisan booths, and family activities. Don’t miss out on this chance to celebrate Smallville’s superhero spirit with the whole family.
Friday, June 21 | 5-11 p.m. | Salt City Brewing
Salt City Brewing Company proudly presents Logan Mize with a FULL BAND performance on Main Street during Smallville 2024! Get ready for an unforgettable evening. May 31st is the last day to snatch up your Early Bird tickets — starting at just $20! Ticket price increases to $25 June 1, and will be $30 at the gate, June 21.
Friday, June 21 | 6-9 p.m. | Hutchinson Zoo
It’s a bird, it’s a plane—it’s a Zooper Hero! Hutchinson Zoo is joining the Smallville Festival fun with a Zooper Hero Family Night. Through fun activities, special animal encounters, keeper talks and more, your family will have a SUPER time learning about our amazing heroes. Put on your cape and mask, and bring your superheroes to see ours. Only $10/person!
Saturday, June 22 | 8 a.m. | Strataca
Test your super strength as you conquer the underground terrain of Strataca during the Smallville 5K! Feel the thrill as you race through winding tunnels and majestic caverns surrounded by the rich history of Smallville. So don your cape, lace up your running shoes and prepare for an unforgettable journey 650’ below the Earth’s surface at the Smallville 5K.
Saturday, June 22 | 8 a.m. | Rice Park
Join Hutch Rec for the Smallville Open Disc Golf Tournament. Only $15/person! Get ready to showcase your skills and compete against players in your division. Divisions include: 8-12 yrs old, 13-15 yrs old, 16-18 yrs old, and 19 & older. We kick-off with a shot-gun start, so be sure to arrive early to check in on the day of the event.
Saturday, June 22 | 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. | Cosmosphere
Join the Cosmosphere for Smallville Festival’s Amazing Space Race. Admission is FREE with a Smallville Festival wrist band (available during check in at the Cosmosphere.) Participants will embark on an exciting, self-guided “race” throughout the Hall of Space Museum, solving clues, discovering artifacts, and possibly leaving with a major award!
Saturday, June 22 | 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. | KS State Fairgrounds
The Hutch Comic Con will be filled with interactive experiences, where you can meet and engage with talented creators, immerse yourself in comic culture, and unleash your imagination like never before! This event is organized by NaCl Comic Cons with regular tickets priced at $5/adults, and $30/adult VIP ticket (15 & under receive FREE admission when accompanied by an adult!)

Dive in and discover the parallels shared by Hutchinson and Smallville. Are you familiar with Downtown Hutchinson? Then this event will be a breeze for you! But don’t worry if you’re new to the area — everyone is welcome to discover the Smallville story. This is a FREE event for all ages!
