HUTCHINSON, Kan. — An early Sunday morning shooting in southwest Hutchinson sent one man to the hospital and so far two arrests.
Captain Dayton Gates said officers were called just before 5 AM to the 300 block of West Avenue B, where on arrival an 18 year old man was found with two gunshot wounds to his legs. That shooting reportedly took place in the 100 block of South Madison, near where he was found.
That man was taken by EMS to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released.
Two men were arrested at the scene for felony interference with law enforcement.
Captain Gates said this is an active investigation and persons of interest acquainted with the victim have been identified.
