WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State rallied from a six-point deficit in the final 72 seconds of regulation for a 91-89, double-overtime win over SMU.

A trio of Shockers topped the 20-point mark, led by Kenny Pohto’s career-high 28 points on 13-of-15 shooting.

Craig Porter Jr. added 22, including a game-tying layup with two seconds left in regulation and six more tallies in double-overtime to help WSU (13-12, 6-7 American) create separation. He also had six assists and three blocks while playing 47:08 out of a possible 50 minutes.

Jaykwon Walton finished with 20 points on 6-of-11 shooting.

Zhuric Phelps (26 points) and Efe Odigie (21) led the scoring for SMU, which was unable to capitalize on a 25-12 advantage in turnovers.

WSU shot a season-high 57.4% from the field.

SMU shot 46.8%, but made just 5-of-14 field goal attempts and 4-of-10 free throws during the two overtime periods.
