HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Construction work on several streets in Hutchinson’s downtown area is set to begin Wednesday. Seal coating work is expected to run through May 23rd, with street closings implemented while segments are completed.
Crews will first focus on 2nd Ave and Sherman St between Adams and Poplar, with work there to be completed by Thursday, May 18th. See the map below for the complete sealing schedule.
This phase of the project will be the scrub season which will entail laying down and covering it with aggregate. A second schedule will be released for sweeping.
All cars must be off the street for the entire area to be seal-coated, but pedestrian access will be maintained.
