RICE COUNTY, Kan. — The Rice County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on the person or persons who illegally dumped oil into a ditch just southwest of Lyons.
This took place in the area of 15th Road and Avenue N, which would be Century and American Roads.
Dumping oil into a ditch isn’t a good idea as it can lead to, among other things, water contamination and soil degradation, plus harming wildlife and ecosystems.
