Reno County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Early Morning Accident on June 8th

RENO COUNTY, Kan. – Reno County Investigators are looking into a two-vehicle accident that took place in the early hours of Thursday, June 8th in Southeast Reno County. The incident happened around 2 a.m. at 24510 S Willison Rd.

According to the Reno County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies, along with Haven EMS, and District 9 Fire, were dispatched for an injury motor vehicle accident involving a white Chevrolet Silverado and a blue Dodge Ram. The first Officer on the scene located and medically assessed the driver of the Silverado. He was identified as Gary Wayne Dick of Hutchinson. No driver was located for the Ram.

Through deploying additional Deputies, as well as a drone with infrared capabilities, it was determined that no second driver was in the area. A wallet belonging to the owner of the Ram, identified as Timothy Matthew England of Hutchinson, was located in the wreckage.

England placed a call to 911 to report the truck stolen while emergency personnel were working over the accident scene.

An investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with knowledge of the accident or the individuals involved is asked to please contact the Reno County Sheriff’s Office.
