McPHERSON COUNTY, Kan. — Firefighters from five departments battled a fire at the McPherson County Landfill Saturday, Oct. 14. Water shuttles were utilized from McPherson to the scene for the large fire that produced a lot of smoke and limited visibility along old Highway 81 at times. The response included fire departments from McPherson, Canton,Galva and Conway.
