GALVA, Kan. — A Galva man was injured Saturday afternoon in a paraglider crash northeast of Galva.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said Travis Martin was operating the paraglider around 1:45 p.m. in the area of 23rd and Overland Road, about four miles northeast of Galva, when for unknown reasons he crashed into a field.
McPherson and Canton EMS along with the Canton Fire Department and McPherson County Sheriff’s Office also responded.
McPherson EMS said in a release Saturday evening, Martin, who was wearing goggles and a helmet, was extricated from the crash and provided treatment on the scene before being flown via Life Star to an area hospital for treatment of reported serious injuries.
