McPHERSON, Kan. — McPherson Medical & Surgical Associates announced Malia Sullivan, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), joining its family practice full time.
Malia’s special interests include Women’s Health and Pediatrics, although she is accepting new patients of all ages. You can call to schedule with her at 620-241-7400, Option 1.
Malia earned her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Barton Community College in 2015. She has worked in multiple areas including Medical/Surgical, Pediatrics, and most recently, Labor and Delivery. She was also a nursing instructor at Barton Community College. She received her Master of Science in Nursing which includes Family Nurse Practitioner from Chamberlain University in August 2024. She became Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in September 2024. During her clinical rotations, she worked with several of the providers in McPherson Clinic. She is passionate about creating relationships and caring for children and families in rural communities close to home.
Malia grew up in a small town not far away – Great Bend – where she met her husband, Simon. She currently has 2-year-old twins – Austin and Amelia. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, traveling, and scuba diving.
