RICE COUNTY, Kan. – A Lyons man was killed Tuesday night in a two-vehicle accident on K-14/96 highway between Lyons and Sterling.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a Hyundai Palisade driven by Hua Lin, 33, of Wichita, was westbound on Avenue Q in Rice County, failed to yield at a posted stop sign, and collided with a Ford Focus driven by Christy A Morrison, 50, of Lyons. Both vehicles came to a rest in the northwest ditch along K-14.
Morrison was transported to Via Christi St. Francis hospital in Wichita with reported serious injuries. A passenger in her vehicle, 60-year-old Christopher A Morrison sustained fatal injuries.
Lin and a passenger in her vehicle, 20-year-old Xinying Wang, of Wichita, were reported uninjured.
