SALINA, Kan. — Lindsborg Community Hospital (LCH) will officially welcome its new administrator, Mark Rooker near the end of January.
Salina Regional Health Center CEO, Joel Phelps shared today that the new administrator had been selected.
According to LCH, Rooker has had 27 years of experience working in healthcare, including Chief Operating Officer, Chief Information Officer and Chief Executive Officer leadership roles in rural medicine.
Most recently, Rooker has been Chief Executive Officer of Hillsboro Community Hospital (HCH), since 2020. He is said to have improved financial stability, built strong infrastructure, developed a high-quality team, and delivered excellent patient care there.
Rooker also believes, “If I can help someone, that’s what I want to do. I don’t like to sit at the table and not contribute.”
LCH sees Rooker joining the team as a benefit to the health care delivery in Lindsborg and hopes that the community will make him feel welcome.
The hospital added, “The Board and executive leadership team are confident that Mark is the best person to lead Lindsborg Community Hospital into the future, building an environment of excellence in patient care, a highly engaging culture for our employees, and adding value to the lives of the communities it serves.”
