McPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson Museum & Arts Foundation is currently raising funds to create an exhibit for McPherson rock and roll band, King Midas & the Muflers.
According to the museum, the band has been billed as “Kansas’ Longest Performing Rock & Roll Band”, and got its start in 1965. After 58 years, the band is still performing and in 2006, King Midas was inducted to the Kansas Music Hall of Fame.
To honor the band, the museum would like to create an exhibit with a stage and all. A special account has been created specifically and you can donate online here or send a check made out to the McPherson Museum with King Midas Exhibit written on the memo line.
