GREAT BEND, Kan. (March 21, 2025) — The Kansas Department of Transportation will be holding a listening meeting in Great Bend on Thursday, March 27 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. over the Southwest Kansas Mobility and Expansion Strategy. This will be a chance for the public to give feedback to KDOT as part of the initial stages of this study.
The study is looking into improving mobility, safety, and accessibility in Southwest Kansas. This will study highway use in the area and examine how to make that movement more efficient.
Once complete, the study will create a plan for future transportation priorities and investments in the region. If you are unable to attend in person there will be an online study released on March 25. For more information go to www.kdot.gov/projects/southwest-kansas-mobility-and-expansion-strategy.
