TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — The state of Kansas has released its latest labor market report. The report for March shows a seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate of 2.9%, which remains unchanged from February.
The department says the state’s seasonally-adjusted total non-farm jobs have increased by 37,000 over the past year. That includes an increase of 33,000 private sector jobs and 3,900 government jobs.
Labor Department officials say job growth this past year has been led by gains in professional, scientific, and technical services as well as in health care and social services.
