SALINA, Kan. — Two new classes of Kansas Highway Patrol Troopers graduated from the Kansas Highway Patrol Training Academy on Tuesday, December 17 in Salina, Kansas. Condensed Recruit Class #69 graduated four (4) new troopers and Basic Recruit Class #70 graduated 17 new troopers.
Class #69 began 13 weeks of training on Tuesday, June 25 at the Kansas Highway Patrol Training Academy. Troopers concluded their training at the academy on September 19 and entered the field training phase. They returned to the KHP Training Academy to graduate. KHP Recruit Class #70 began 24 weeks of training on Wednesday, July 10 at the Kansas Highway Patrol Training Academy. Troopers will now enter the field training phase of the training program.
New Troopers will be stationed in the following counties:
Troop A: Johnson/Wyandotte Counties – 3 Troopers
Troop B: Douglas County – 1 Trooper
Osage County – 1 Trooper
Shawnee County – 3 Troopers
Troop C: Morris County – 1 Trooper
Riley County – 1 Trooper
Saline County – 1 Trooper
Troop D: Ellis County – 1 Trooper
Troop F: Pratt County – 1 Trooper
Sedgwick County – 5 Troopers
Sumner County – 1 Trooper
Troop G: Lyon County – 1 Trooper
Troop H: Woodson County – 1 Trooper
