HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Fox Theatre is pleased to announce the commencement of the bidding process for a newly funded project under the Heritage Trust Fund grant. This project represents a significant opportunity for qualified contractors to contribute to a landmark initiative that will enhance its community and preserve its heritage.
Following the receipt of the Heritage Trust Fund grant, the Fox Theatre is now prepared to move forward with the project, which aims to mitigate the infiltration of moisture into the theatre by addressing the roof over the lobby of the theatre and the building’s exterior masonry that show signs of damage, deterioration and exposure. As a federally funded grant, this project adheres to strict guidelines, including the public solicitation of bids to ensure a transparent and competitive selection process.
“We are excited to begin this important project and invite qualified contractors to participate in the bidding process,” said Penny Bettles, Development Administrator at Hutchinson’s Historic Fox Theatre. “Our goal is to select a contractor who shares our vision and commitment to excellence, ensuring that this project meets the highest standards of quality and community impact.”
Interested contractors are invited to pick up the Official Invitation to Bid Packet, which includes a full Scope of Work at the Fox Box Office, Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Or by emailing Penny Bettles at [email protected]. The deadline for bid submissions is August 1st at 1:00 p.m. All interested parties are encouraged to review the project details and requirements thoroughly. All work must follow the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.
