HUTCHINSON, Kan. – The Hutchinson Fire Department (HFD) responded late Thursday evening to a commercial fire alarm at the Ulta Beauty store.
When crews arrived on the scene around 9:30 p.m., there was no smoke showing from the outside. They made entry into the building where they encountered smoke in a back storage room.
The alarm was upgraded to a commercial structure fire and crews on the scene pulled a line to the back of the store. The fire had triggered the building’s sprinkler system and put the fire out before HFD’s arrival on the scene.
Fire crews shut the sprinkler system down and worked on removing smoke and water from the store. Some minor fire damage was done.
The cause of the fire is currently under Investigation.
