HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Community College Trustees will take action on a job position name for outgoing president Dr. Carter File at a special meeting Thursday evening at 6:30 at the Shears Technology Center.
Dr. Tricia Paramore will assume the presidency of HutchCC, effective Monday, and Dr. File’s new title will be Executive Vice President until his official retirement date on August 31, 2024. Rights and duties set out in a contract dated March 1st will remain the same, just the title will change.
Also, up for action are revisions to several policies. These deal with articulated credit, transfer credit for prior learning, and workplace credit along with orientation and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act policies.
Other agenda items include action on a contract for an emergency notification system, a request to serve alcohol at a private event, and an executive session on negotiations.
