HESSTON, Kan. — Just over $77,000 was raised during the Give.Match..Grow Hesston! campaign and $70,000 of that amount will be matched through the Patterson Family Foundation matching grant.
The foundation said they are very grateful for the community’s donations and for the opportunity to further their mission to strengthen the Hesston community through charitable giving. The event ran from June 25 through July 2. There were 20 funds listed in the community funds to donate to.
The HCF said they were born of an idea that they could plant a seed of positive growth in their community. In 2011, they were formed from community members and Hesston Schools Foundation board of directors.
Since then, the foundation has grown to more than $1.25 Million in assets under investment and has granted more than $600,000 in gifts to the Hesston community.
