PAWNEE COUNTY, Kan. — Four students at Fort Larned Elementary School and one from Pawnee Heights were honored by the Pawnee County Commission Monday for achieving perfect scores on state assessment tests earlier this spring.

Fort Larned Elementary 5th grader Zephaniah Vagle had a perfect 380 score in science and math, while 3rd grader Grace Kelty aced the ELA and math assessments, as did 5th grader Amara Nwachukwu in ELA, and 6th grader Kolten Brabb in math.

From Pawnee Heights, Gage Hammeke had a perfect score on his math assessment.

The four students from Fort Larned Elementary were also honored during Monday evening’s USD 495 Board of Education meeting. These students also achieved a Level 4 score, broader than a perfect score, demonstrating an excellent ability to understand and utilize skills and knowledge necessary for post-secondary readiness.
